A heady mix of historic heritage, gardens, hospitality and a thriving hi-tech revolution, Hyderabad is located in Andhra Pradesh in southern India and offers a thriving environment for education, information technology and employment. The vibrant Children’s Village in Hyderabad is happy home to 134 children, 57 boys & 76 girls living under the loving care of 12 mothers and 4 aunts.

101 children attend schools in the vicinity, 21 are in boarding schools, while 8 go to the Village Kindergarten while 4 toddlers remain at home. Children are being looked after by 12 loving mothers and 4 aunts. The Village is well equipped with a Kindergarten, Activity Hall, Clinic, Community and Guest House and Village Store. A Learning Centre with a Library and Computer & Music Rooms has recently been constructed with support from Dell Computers. To enrich mothers knowledge the Village organized programmes in home management, nutrition, health and hygiene. With regular health check ups and administration of basic vaccinations children are showing signs of healthy growth and development.

The academic results too for the last year have been very encouraging. All school going children were promoted to the next higher classes with 60 percent marks and above. Regular tutors have been engaged to help children who are weak in studies. Spoken English classes are organized for children above class IV with help of a resource person. As part of their fun and learning activities children went to the Jalvihar Water Park where they enjoyed rides and spent time at the swimming pool.
