| Over the years SOS Children have grown up to become independent, married and well settled in all walks of lives. Children in need become contributing and caring members of society because of support received from generous and socially aware individuals. |
| SOS-India’s success is based on long-term partnership with our sponsors. Through this partnership you can contribute to the nurturing of a child with sponsorship amount of Rs.6000/- per child per year only. In return for your contribution of Rs.6000/- you will receive a photograph and details of your sponsored child. |

| Questions you may like answered regarding child sponsorship: |
 |
Can I choose my sponsored child myself? Can I make choices regarding gender, age, location etc.? |
Our aim in allocating sponsorships is, to assign a maximum of ten sponsors to each child and largest number of sponsorships possible to those villages with only a few sponsors or none at all.
The prospective sponsor has the chance, before taking on a sponsorship, to make their wishes known regarding the choice State in the Country, Male/Female, Age group, Specific educational stream / Professional training. The Sponsorship office is responsible for allocating sponsors to children in order to maintain a balance distribution of sponsorships to all children. We try, however, to consider the sponsor's wishes as far as possible but we do not guarantee.

 |
How many sponsors does a child have? Why can't I be the only sponsor? |
To ensure that the living costs (food, clothes, schooling and vocational training, medical care, free-time activities, co-worker pay etc.) are covered, SOS Children's Village children usually have up to ten sponsors.
Only by allocating several sponsors to each child can we ensure the long-term provision for the children living in the SOS Children's Villages.

 |
How will my sponsorship help? |
By sponsoring an SOS Child you’ll help to give the child a home, access to medical facilities, a good education and vocational training, all of which will provide the child with the skills and knowledge he/she would need to lead an independent life.
If you choose to sponsor a village, your money will help all the children living there, as well as families and children from the local community, who are free to make use of the additional facilities, such as kindergarten and medical centers.
